Exploring the Aljarafe

Route by bicycle for the whole family.

Description

  • Groupsfrom 2 to 8.

  • Tuesday to Sunday

  • Recomended start 09.30, depending on the season of the year.

  • Round trip transportation included

The name Aljarafe comes from the Arabic Al Jaraf and means elevation. The area from the Gerena countryside in the north to the Guadalquivir marshes in the south marks an area of greatly variable landscapes. Since time immemorial the zone has had very productive lands, with grapes for wine, olive trees for oil and vegetables gardening. This one day circular route is a sample of the great variety of the Aljarafe where you can enjoy long green corridors, quiet trails and river banks and a great day exploring by bicycle.

Although this is not considered a sporting challenge, we recommend that you be an experienced independent cyclist. The route includes several opportunities to stop and rest at roadside sales, or local bars, which we recommend along the way. This will give you maximum flexibility in managing your time and energy. The return to Seville can be a pre-arranged pick-up or a local commuter train service.
