On this morning tour we will visit Carmona, one of the oldest cities in Spain through which all civilizations have passed, leaving to our delight its rich legacy in monuments and archaeological sites.
The city, known as Lucero de Europa (so nicknamed Julio Cesar) occupies an impregnable plateau that allowed the existence of a population center uninterrupted from the Protohistoria to today with stunning views over the region of Los Alcores.
On our visit we will enter into its Roman necropolis, one of the largest in Spain, famous for its original elephant tombs or the Servilia Mausoleum. Then we will make the tour of the historic center of the city to see its main monuments: the Alcazar of the Puerta de Sevilla, the Puerta de Córdoba and the Alcazar del Rey Don Pedro. In this tour we will also enjoy the many viewpoints offered by Carmona with beautiful views over the cereal fields and we will enter the Convent of the Poor Clares to taste its famous artisan sweets.
We will end our tour with an aperitif at a typical Carmona bar before getting on the bus to return to Seville and leave them in their apartment around 2:30, for lunch.
Children will enjoy visiting the Alcazar de la Puerta de Sevilla, a castle on three floors!
