With this trip of two days we entered the North of Morocco to know Africa, another continent, another culture, another way of living on the other side of the Strait of Gibraltar. 14 kilometers separate Europe from the African continent where Tangier awaits us, a city with a huge cultural and historical legacy.
We will leave from Seville in the early morning to reach Tarifa where we will get on the ferry to get to Tangier. On our arrival we will make a tour of the city with our guide who will take us to the most significant places such as the Sultan’s Palace and the Kasbah until we enter and lose ourselves in the magical corners of the old medina and the colorful souk. At the end of the visit of the city we will enjoy a typical lunch (included in the tour) with which we will be able to taste the different specialties of the tasty Moroccan gastronomy
In the afternoon we will go to Chefchaouen, the beautiful white and blue town, located on the slopes of the Riff. There, the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of this town surrounded by mountains awaits us where you can enjoy the friendliness of its inhabitants, its crafts and the poetry of its network of streets and squares. We will spend the night there in a quiet and familiar hotel (included in the price of the tour).
On our second day we will wake up in Chefchaouen and after tasting a traditional breakfast at our hotel (included in the price of the tour) we will head towards the coast to continue discovering the north of this beautiful country. We will have two options: Tetuán, the beautiful Andalusian city known as the Paloma Blanca, former capital of the north of the country and with a large presence of Spanish culture. Tetuán enjoys a great cultural heritage and is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for places such as its old medina or the Spanish Ensanche neighborhood. Our other option will be Asilah, a town by the sea with a lot of charm. Its medina is characterized by its luminosity, the constant sound of the sea in its streets, the salt in the atmosphere, its clean and silent streets with its original lighting, “the lanterns of Asilah”, and its paving made by local artists.
In the afternoon we will leave Tetouan or Asilah to return to Tangier where we will take the ferry back to Tarifa to get to Seville for dinner time around 9:00 p.m.
Children enjoy the boat trip through the Strait of Gibraltar, the camel ride in Tangier and the smurf color of Chefchaouen, the blue village of the Riff mountains.
