With this two-day excursion we enter North Africa to get to know Morocco, another continent, another religion, another culture, another way of living on the other side of the Strait of Gibraltar. 14 kilometers separate Europe from the African continent where Tangier, a city with a huge cultural and historical legacy, awaits us.
We will leave from Seville in the early morning to get to Tarifa where we will ride the ferry to get to Tangier. Upon arrival in Tangier a private taxi service, van or mini bus (depending on the group) will be waiting for us at the port and will take us directly to our hotel in Tetouan (Hotel A-44) where we will settle and have lunch (lunch included in the tour price).
After lunch and a time to rest (approximately 1 hour in our hotel room) we will tour the city of Tetouan and its beautiful medina with a local guide who will take us through all its magical corners. The beautiful Andalusian city known as the Paloma Blanca, former capital of the north of the country and with a great presence of Spanish culture, enjoys a great cultural heritage and is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This tour will take up much of the afternoon and we will propose to finish in a formidable place for dinner “El Reducto” (https://www.elreducto.com/es/). After dinner we will pick up the taxi to take us back to the hotel.
In the morning of the next day, after a good breakfast at the Buffet Hotel (included in the tour price) we will march to Chefchaouen at 09 AM, this beautiful indigo white and blue town, located on the slopes of the Riff. There awaits us the relaxed and calm atmosphere of this town surrounded by mountains where you can enjoy the friendliness of its inhabitants, its crafts and the poetry of its network of streets and squares. We will make a guided tour of the city by the hand of a local guide and then we will have time to have lunch, shop and explore the streets of this beautiful little town.
In the afternoon we will go to Tangier where we will have a little less than 2 hours to visit the medina or to rest in one of the restaurants on the boardwalk. We will take the ferry back to fare at 7 pm and then return to Seville for approximately 23 h.
Children will enjoy the boat trip crossing the Strait of Gibraltar and the Smurf color of Chefchaouen, the blue town of the Riff Mountains.
